POWAY -- Members of the Poway Community Leadership Institute are developing a free tutoring program for Poway Unified School District students who need one-on-one assistance. The program will be open to students at all grade levels.
Tutoring will take place at the Poway branch of the San Diego County Library, 13137 Poway Road. Interested parents and potential volunteer tutors are invited to meet with the PCLI team to discuss the program. Members of the PCLI team, which includes Annette Gonzalez, senior management analyst for the city of Poway, and Nazem Agha, owner of Carpet Country Flooring in Poway, will be available from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 and 28 in the Meeting Room at the Poway Library. Those who are unable to attend but would like to participate in the program can call Susan Davis at (858) 679-0410.
